When we think ELAL SECURITY we think BLUE. The concept that generated the entire project was to create a space that calms the mind and helps the trainees focus during their instruction period. The overall atmosphere generates an environment that is professional and reliable, where both students and teachers benefit simultaneously. An important focus point of the intervention was to create a space that transcends the feeling of reward, promotion, almost like a winning a prize. Since most of the students are studying inside the space for a short period of time, their stay has to be as memorable as possible. This in turn generated the intense color palette and material selection. Using blue and white as the main colors, the space is in perfect sync with the ELAL Security brand identity as well as visually inspiring calmness, learning and motivation. Using blue and white as main colors generated a very different approach to the space. The floor, walls and ceiling follow the same basic rules as every other element implemented. The space is divided into 2 floors, each of them reinterpreting the use of the main 2 colors. In the first floor, because of the height advantage, the floor is painted white while the ceiling and all connected elements are colored in blue. For the second floor the colors are switched around. Blue epoxy acts as a continuous flooring guiding the users to their desired space while the white ceiling gives an elevated feeling. The only element that is intentionally out of place, is the library. Located at the second floor, the library has a style of its own. The use of light plywood and continuous metal frame structures create a space that is bound to learning, calmness and focus all in an industrial reinterpreted style.
